Oreo Smoothie? Yes Please.

Let’s be honest—getting kids to eat enough protein, calcium, and vitamin D isn’t always easy. But blend in a few Oreo cookies, and suddenly they’re all in. This protein-packed Oreo smoothie is one of my go-to solutions. It clocks in at just 300 calories and somehow still delivers 40 grams of protein. Yes, you read that right—40 grams. And yes, it includes three real Oreos.

Here’s how I make it:

  • 1 cup of ice

  • 1 cup skim milk (I use Fairlife for the extra protein and lower sugar

  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder

  • 3 Oreo cookies

Blend it all together until smooth. I like to crumble one of the Oreo wafers on top as a finishing touch.

Do I drink this every day? No. But it’s a staple at least once a week in our house—and not just for the kids. Let’s just say I’ve finished a serving or two myself.

Sometimes, nutrition can be fun. And this one tastes like dessert.
