A Fun, High-Protein Twist on Oatmeal

Getting lean means eating clean, but that should never mean giving up enjoyment. In my experience, extreme diets that cut out food groups or leave you unsatisfied simply do not work in the long run.
One of my favorite meals that proves healthy eating can be both effective and enjoyable is my peanut butter and jelly oatmeal. It is warm, filling, and packed with flavor. Best of all, it takes just five minutes to make.
Here is how to do it:
In one pot, combine 1 cup of dry oats with 2 cups of water.
Once the oats are halfway cooked, stir in a heaping scoop of your favorite protein powder. Mix well.
In a separate pot, heat a generous handful of berries. I usually use frozen ones. Cook them until they become soft and warm.
Pour the hot berries into the oats and stir everything together.
Scoop half the mixture into a bowl and top it with a teaspoon of peanut butter.
That is it. You are done. This entire meal comes in under 400 calories and contains nearly 35 grams of protein.
