3 Step Choco Peanut Butter Balls

I love chocolate and sweets. Especially in the winter. Something about the cold weather and cozy indoors makes me want to bake cookies every day. My goals have always been to balance my nutrients with my comfort foods. Luckily this recipe requires no baking!
These chocolate peanut butter balls taste like dessert and feel indulgent, yet they deliver:
- 85 calories
- 12 grams of protein per ball

That combination matters because a snack that is satisfying both physically and psychologically results in healthy portions and reduced cravings.
The recipe:
- 3 cups PB2 (peanut flour) that brings protein without excess fat
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce that adds moisture and structure without added sugar

Instructions:
- Mix the PB2 and applesauce until it forms a dough.
- Roll it into a log, slice into 20 equal pieces, and roll each into a ball.
- Freeze for 10 minutes to firm up.
- While those set, melt ¾ cup of chocolate chips.
- Roll each ball in the chocolate and sprinkle a little salt on top if you like.
- Return them to the freezer for at least 10 more minutes.

Because of the macronutrients, this is a snack that can fit into your daily routine without being called a "cheat meal". I like to have these as a nice breakfast, pre-workout snack, or something sweet after dinner.
If you’re going to crave chocolate anyway, you might as well make it work for you.
